Making a stop at the local Starbucks for our morning fix, on our way to work is something all of us do. But what many of us don’t know is we can take our morning coffee experience to the next level by combining it with certain foods. Here are a few of them:
Dry fruit
Dry fruits are an extremely healthy to have with your coffee, and can be eaten at any time of the day as a healthy snack, or after a meal. They are full of proteins, vitamins and dietary fibres. Some of the dry fruits you could have are almonds, walnuts, dried apricots, and dates (these are extremely popular in Middle Eastern countries).
Sandwiches
Sandwiches are extremely versatile foods that are eaten as meals and as snacks, both. You might catch yourself ordering one for lunch at a restaurant, or enjoying a light grilled cheese one in the evening. Some types of sandwiches that complement coffee are ham and cheese, vegetable, deli, and roasted chicken. Bon appétit!
Donuts
Coffee with donuts is a combination that can never go wrong. The sweet array of flavours it leaves in your mouth is certainly satisfying. Be it the generic sugary glazed donut, a cream filled one, or the chocolate one-it’s bound to be the perfect addition to your morning or evening coffee.
Scones
Who said they were just made for tea? They can be ideal with your coffee as well. Light and airy, they can be enjoyed with thick jam, or even eaten on their own. Fruit scones are a tasty option as well. This combination would be great to have for breakfast.
Eggs
Ever had a long day and ended up fixing a quick omelette for dinner? Eggs can be cooked in many forms some of which include the classic fried egg, scrambled eggs, and boiled eggs. They can be eaten at all times, and are best to have with a cup of warm coffee.
